"With its great flight performance and distinctive looks, the Sig Four-Star 60 should be on every sport modeler's wish list!"

Model Airplane News,  Jul 2003  by Gagliardi, Frank

"This plane is a real pleasure to fly. Two (2) clicks of left aileron were all that was required to trim this beauty for level flight. It is reasonably quick, but not overly so. Rolls are axial, inverted flight requires a very small application of down elevator and spins are slow and graceful. Knife-edge can be sustained but requires a little mixing of up elevator due to pitch coupling. After about 10 minutes of test flying, it was brought back for some landing practice. Previous articles on the Four-Star 40 have mentioned the plane’s slow landing approach and the need for speed management on finals. The standard High-Key, Low-Key approach is normally used and it works every time. This plane is a delight to land. It comes in slow with no tendency to tip stall, and touches down at walking pace, making it easy for post touch-down tracking. The next flight consisted purely of touch and goes, each one being smooth and easy to execute. Speed management is important in any model and an unfair reputation has been attached to this airplane just because of a slower than normal landing speed."
